Discover the Life-Transforming Power of Adventure!

3001 South Broad St. Chattanooga, TN 37408
The Adventure Guild calls Chattanooga, TN, "home". However our services and clients touch all parts of the country, with concentrations in the Regional Southeast and Colorado. Over the years, we have forged relationships / partnerships with facilitators, camps and conference centers that allow us to serve clients in many great locations around the US. And though we love our Western Friends and love all that the West embodies, we retain a soft spot for the Southest. For those not in the know, the Chattanooga / Tri-State area is an outdoor paradise, with excellent opportunities to experience and pursue virtually every outdoor / adventure sport you can imagine - all within an hour of downtown. From rock climbing, to backpacking, to whitewater and flatwater paddling, to mountain biking, caving and more, Chattanooga has it all. As you might imagine, we make ample use of the incredible resources at our doorstep and do much of our programming right here. Below is a brief overview of the common locations we offer our clients to best meet their needs and their budgets.

The Chattanooga Area
In the greater Chattanooga area, we not only utilize the many public and private land options around us for hiking, climbing, paddling, and other activities, we also own and operate a full low and high ropes challenge course at The Greenway Farm in Hixson, TN as well as the Walnut Wall climbing tower in Coolidge Park. Full programs are available at each location, in addition to walk-up hours at The Walnut Wall every Friday-Sunday. For more information regarding either location, click the links above.

Dunlap, TN - The Sequatchie Valley near Chattanooga is literally lined with beautiful sandstone cliffs, most of which have seen little or no climbing, since the majority of them are on difficult-to-access (and often posted) private land. However, in 2005, The Adventure Guild gained exclusive access to one of the most visible and beautiful of these barely-touched cliff lines. Climbing routes and trails are under development. After acquisition of the property is complete (slated for 2009) ultimately a 40 acre Adventure Guild camp facility will set nestled beneath a gorgeous prow of rock, overlooking the pastoral scene of the Sequatchie valley! Private guiding and group climbing and rappelling at our new location is now an option for select groups.
Cloudland, GA - Located just a short drive from Cloudland Canyon State Park, Georgia and Mentone, AL is Camp Woodmont. Camp Woodmont is one of our partner camp facilities that provides a great off-season camp and retreat option for Guild clients. Sitting on 120 beautiful, wooded acres, Camp Woodmont offers not only comfortable accommodations and a lake, it also boasts an Adventure Guild-built low challenge course, climbing tower and high ropes course. Great hiking, caving, rock climbing, and rappelling are only a few minutes' drive away. And of course no one would want to miss Camp Director Tyran Bennett's award-winning smile and contagious enthusiasm! If you are looking for a beautiful, secluded place for your next retreat, Camp Woodmont is an excellent choice!

Mentone, AL - Located just into AL on Lookout Mtn., Mentone is affectionately known as "Camp Town" in the Tri-State area. Mentone is home for several of our partner camps, and many of our retreats in the Southeast are held there. Those partner camps include:

Groups have two options at Alpine Camp. Groups with fewer than 50 can stay at The Ridge Cabins. All cabins have bathroom facilities and are fully winterized. Groups that number from 75 - 300 utilize more of the camp staying in the "mountain, ridge, and canyon" cabins. With the exception of the ridge, all sets of cabins are serviced by girls and boys bath houses. Groups of 75 or more take meals in the beautiful Alpine Camp Dining Hall.
